Partner Award for Social Values

We were delighted to receive the Partner Award for Social Values for the works carried out at Bucklers Park, Berkshire.

Bucklers Park, formerly the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) was once used as a centre for ground-breaking research into road safety. It is now a publicly accessible country park, over 100 acres in size within Bracknell Forest, for all to enjoy.

Gavin Jones were awarded the 12-month soft landscaping contract back in November 2017.

The works consisted of the management of the existing forest; from timber harvesting to bracken management, and the creation of new grassland and heathland habitats.

There was also extensive sitewide installation of furniture, signage, bespoke bug hotels, bespoke decking platforms to waterbodies and an amphitheatre to the existing concrete test track, as well as extensive native mix plantations and aquatic planting, improving the wildlife, flora and fauna and enhancing the general public’s overall experience for walking, cycling and running.

The awards ceremony was held at the charity Black Tie Gala Dinner, in association with Wokingham Bracknell & District Mencap charity held at De Vere Beaumont Estate Hotel, Old Windsor.
